Acceptable Use Policy
Our guidelines for responsible and acceptable usage of BitQate's services.
1. Purpose
- This Acceptable Use Policy is designed to ensure optimal service quality for all BitQate customers.
- We aim to provide reliable, high-performance hosting while preventing abuse of our systems.
- This policy applies to all services including web hosting, game servers, and additional features.
2. Resource Usage
- 2.1. CPU Usage
- • Maximum sustained CPU usage: 90% of allocated cores
- • Brief bursts up to 100% are permitted
- • Continuous high CPU usage may trigger automatic throttling
- 2.2. RAM Usage
- • Base RAM allocation must be sufficient for normal operations
- • RAM Burst feature activates automatically when needed
- • Sustained high memory usage may require plan upgrade
- 2.3. Storage
- • Storage quotas must be respected
- • Regular backups count towards storage limits
- • Temporary files should be managed responsibly
3. Network Usage
- 3.1. Bandwidth
- • Unlimited bandwidth is subject to fair use
- • Excessive usage affecting other users is not permitted
- • CDN usage is recommended for high-traffic sites
- 3.2. Connections
- • Maximum concurrent connections are plan-dependent
- • DDoS protection handles legitimate traffic spikes
- • API rate limits must be respected
4. Prohibited Activities
- The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- • Cryptocurrency mining
- • File hosting/sharing services
- • Proxy/VPN/TOR exit nodes
- • Email spam operations
- • Malicious botnets or hacking tools
- • Content violating intellectual property rights
- • Activities that disrupt service for other users
5. Game Server Specific
- 5.1. Server Performance
- • Maintain reasonable player slots for allocated resources
- • Optimize server configurations for efficiency
- • Use recommended game versions and modpacks
6. Monitoring & Enforcement
- 6.1. System Monitoring
- • Resources are continuously monitored
- • Automated alerts for excessive usage
- • Performance metrics are recorded
- 6.2. Policy Enforcement
- • Warnings issued for policy violations
- • Resource limits may be temporarily imposed
- • Persistent violations may result in service suspension
7. Severe & Illegal Violations
- Any severe or illegal violations will result in immediate account suspension or termination without prior warning.
- This includes but is not limited to:
- • Illegal content hosting or distribution
- • Severe security breaches or hacking attempts
- • Child exploitation material or related content
- • Terrorist content or promotion of violence
- • Fraudulent activities or scams
- • Copyright infringement on a large scale
8. Support & Resolution
- If you experience resource constraints:
- • Review your application's resource usage
- • Implement recommended optimizations
- • Contact support for guidance
- • Consider upgrading to a higher-tier plan
